		<description>I&#039;ve heard of this book and will probably buy it based on your recommendation. I&#039;m always interested in how scholars see the &#039;gap&#039; between the academy and the church. The combination of Evans and Wright is intriguing as well. It&#039;s obviously an important subject, both to the legitimacy of the academy from the church&#039;s perspective, and vice versa. 

Barth says that ALL Christian theology is for the service of the church. Where it is not it ceases to be Christian theology. Strong words from a scholar and pastor...

I&#039;m still searching for a church family here in baltimore so I&#039;ve been doing bible study on my own, well with my dog and cat, but while they are adorable they&#039;re not the most ensightful when pondering the depths of bible verses.
