I’ve heard of this book and will probably buy it based on your recommendation. I’m always interested in how scholars see the ‘gap’ between the academy and the church. The combination of Evans and Wright is intriguing as well. It’s obviously an important subject, both to the legitimacy of the academy from the church’s perspective, and vice versa.

Barth says that ALL Christian theology is for the service of the church. Where it is not it ceases to be Christian theology. Strong words from a scholar and pastor…

I got the mp3 to work and am so glad I did! I’m still searching for a church family here in baltimore so I’ve been doing bible study on my own, well with my dog and cat, but while they are adorable they’re not the most ensightful when pondering the depths of bible verses. Miss you! Again….great sermon Jeff!
